The Construction Process

Harp Legacy Pools offers the highest quality custom built in-ground concrete pools in the area. The process we utilize is unique. All our pools, hot tubs and ponds are formed with custom made aluminum panels designed specially for concrete pools and water features. We pour a concrete shell with steel reinforced concrete 10 inches thick on the sides and 12 inches thick on the bottom. Unlike gunite or shotcrete pools, our boxes have thicker walls and bottoms, and are dimensionally much more accurate due to the rigid formwork placed on both sides before pouring the concrete.

The process is very quick. The hole is dug first and the forms for your design are placed in position. The reinforcing bars are all placed and tied. The next step is to run all the plumbing and fixtures to the pool box. The box is then pumped with high strength concrete. This is a monolithic pour, meaning the walls and sides are poured at the same time. After the forms are removed the custom coping and tile are placed and the pool is ready for plaster. We offer many different plaster colors to finish off the inside of the pool.

After all the pluming and equipment is complete, the pool plaster is placed to finish off the pool and fill with water. Simple designs can be complete in about 6 weeks.
